Mike Jess is senior lecturer in physical education and director of the Developmental Physical Education Group (DPEG) and Postgraduate Certificate in 3-14 Physical Education. He is joint coordinator of the Scottish Primary Physical Education Project; a £6 million Scottish Government project that has been running since 2006. He is also the director of the Basic Moves programme which is currently being delivered to tens of thousands of children across the UK. Mike has delivered over 100 conference presentations and CPD sessions and has written extensively on children’s physical education, sport and physical activity.
