Academics Stand Against Poverty, Pran and CCC webinar

This webinar brings together Academics Stand Against Poverty (ASAP) UK election auditors with two academics from Wales and Scotland to discuss the current challenges in relation to poverty and flourishing.

Dr Richard Machin, Nottingham Trent University, will open the session with a reflection on his audit of the Labour manifesto and how the Labour government has performed in relation to social security policy since the election. This will be followed by presentations by Dr Hayley Bennett, University of Edinburgh (and Co-I of the Safety Nets project) and Prof Rod Hick, University of Cardiff (and Co-I of the Safety Nets project) - who will respectively discuss the social security policy challenges in Scotland and Wales and what we might hope to see in the election manifestos to address poverty and social security provision in Wales and Scotland.
