Description
Invited talk for the New Thinking Group; an interdisciplinary seminar series convened by the Institute for Public Sector Accounting Research at the University of Edinburgh Business School.Summary: National health systems are struggling to meet demand. Digital innovations have been proposed as the solution, but raise tensions and paradoxes for public finance and accountability. The aim of this seminar was to articulate, analyse and debate some of these issues, and to consider their implications for health system sustainability and governance, in an era where public and private sector interests are becoming ever more closely entwined.
