Description
This was a collaborative project between the SNGMA and Edinburgh College of Art. I led the project for ECA. The project invited 3rd Year undergraduate Painting students to make artists' books in response to the exhibition of S. J. Peploe's work, part of the Scottish Colourist Series. A selection of 18 books made by the students was made and this was exhibited at the Keiller Library at Modern Two. This project offered students a rare opportunity to work directly with the curators at the SNGMA, gain insights into S. J. Peploe's work and into the considerations that are made by curators and archivists when staging such an exhibition. They were able to be ambitious in the work they made and selected artists showcased their work in a gallery of national importance.
