Unlocking the Celtic Collector: An Exhibition Celebrating the Life of Alexander Carmichael

The exihibition featured notebooks from the Carmichael Watson Collection, photographs and publications relating to Alexander Carmichael (1832-1912), folklorist, antiquarian and exciseman. The exhibition was available to the general public and was held in the exhibition space in Special Collections, on the 6th Floor of Edinburgh University's Main Library in George Square. A reception for attendees at the Carmichael Watson Project's conference and the launch of the project's website was held around the exhibition space thus increasing the exhibition's audience. The exhibition text was written by Dr Andrew Wiseman and Dr Domhnall Uilleam Stiùbhart and the exhibition materials were designed by Studio SP Ltd, Edinburgh. Exhibition support was provided by Jenni Gypaki and Andrew Grout.
