Description
The BBSRC Annual Strategic Workshop brings together BBSRC’s Executive, Council, Strategy Advisory Panel Chairs, Responsive Mode Committee Chairs, Directors of BBSRC strategically supported Institutes, representatives of partner universities and other key stakeholders. It aims to consider BBSRC’s high-level strategy in the context of the wider UKRI, UK and global landscape for bioscience research and innovation. It forms a valuable part of BBSRC’s annual planning cycle, andprovides an opportunity for ‘big-picture’ strategic thinking and strategic horizon scanning to inform BBSRC’s long-term direction of travel. The theme for the 2022 Annual Strategic Workshop is Connectivity and Collaboration. Throughout the Workshop we will explore this theme through several lenses, in the context of the dynamic nature of the UK and global bioscience landscape, and considering the various drivers and perturbations in the system. The workshop will also consider BBSRC’s role as a convenor, catalyser, connector and collaborator in support of BBSRC, UKRI and government ambitions for UK research and innovation.
