BBSRC marked the start of its 20th anniversary year with an event in London with guest the Rt Hon David Willetts MP, Minister for Universities and Science. The event highlighted the impact of BBSRC's world-leading bioscience and its important contribution to the UK economy. It also launched its interactive time-line, which featured a number of Roslin Institute successes including Dolly the Sheep, livestock genome projects, the link between BSE and vCJD and the production of GM chickens that are unable to spread flu.
