16th March 2015 18:00 – 19:30 Hawthornden Lecture Theatre, Scottish National Gallery, Gardens Entrance, The Mound, Edinburgh Mal Burkinshaw (Programme Director of Fashion) and Dr Jill Burke (Senior Lecturer in History of Art in conversation with Debra Bourne, fashion communications expert and All Walks Beyond the Catwalk Co-Founder and Alyson Walsh, Senior Lecturer in Fashion Management & Marketing at UCA Epsom and author of Style Forever. This event unravelled and debated issues surrounding the fashion industry’s unhealthy depiction of beauty. It also highlighted the responsibility the fashion industry has to recognise the psychological impact of its messaging.
