Zine artist Jean McEwan (http://jeanmcewan.com/) joined the Binks Hub to lead a workshop on the use and production of zines in research. Jean has worked extensively with community groups and academic researchers on a range of projects including partnering with the Universities of York and Birmingham on the Covid Realities and Changing Realities projects. This practical in-person workshop was followed by a seminar in which Jean discussed her experiences and learnings of working as an artist in research projects, giving insights from an artist’s perspective on how such collaborations might make the most positive impact.
