Presented a seminar titled “Blaming the House: Women’s Efforts to Preserve Marriage in a Rural Sinhala Village” as part of the Department of Sociology’s seminar series. The talk explored how women negotiate conflict, kinship expectations, and moral responsibility within marriage, drawing on ethnographic insights from rural Sri Lanka to illustrate everyday strategies of endurance, repair, and relational work.
