Description
Invited talk, delivered as part of a workshop on the future digital health workforce.Part 1 reflected on learning from over a decade of developing and delivering health informatics training to undergraduate, postgraduate and professional learners. A key message was the need for focused government investment in capacity building, using the £6M NHS Digital (Leadership) Academy as a case in point.
Part 2 described the speaker's research in Human Resource information systems, people analytics and digital accountability, and debated the role of these innovations as a legitimate branch of health informatics and as essential tools for workforce intelligence and health systems strengthening.
