In this blog post for CERES I outline issues around racism which arise in the work of teachers of deaf children in the UK. The issues of delay in diagnosis, logjams between agencies and the missing curriculum are discussed in relation to the lives of black deaf children. Systematic but unacknowledged structural racism lies behind these practices. The blog is also produced in British Sign Language.
