Description
Visit from South Eastern University, PRC School of Architecture to ESALA, Edinburgh College of Art. 11 SEU Delegates interacted with 9 UoE academics. Our trip is three-folded:
•first, it is a field trip to visit some case studies for our National Key Research Project (Prof. Han is a PI): Morphological Mechanisms and Evolution of High-Density Urban Areas with Multiple Transportation Stations.
•Second, we plan to visit some exceptional cases of architectural conservation and adaptive use in the UK. Because this type of work is going to be the major task for architectural design in China in the next ten or twenty years.
•Lastly, we are looking for collaboration opportunities in research and/or publication. During this trip, we schedule to visit UCL and RIBA in London and UoE in Edinburgh
In short, we are conducting fieldtrips and looking for potential research collaborations on architectural conservation and adaptive use and urban design of high-density urban areas with multiple transportation stations.
