It was divided into two parts: the first part examined issues of feminist approaches on the commons, ways of cooperation and self-organization in gendered digital communities as well as gendered hierarchical issues raised in these communities. In the second part, we presented case studies of feminist practices of networked communities active in the field of digital technology, art and open source. We addressed the following issues and topics: 1) Short historical background on the role of women in production of the commons; 2 ) Feminism and politics of the commons; 3 ) Women and digital illiteracy; 4 ) Examples of production the commons in digital communities , networks and facilities through feminist practices. Finally, in the workshop we screened short clips/interviews with research partners who worked in the same field: Dr Sophia Lycouris (ECA), Amit Rai (Queen Mary, University of London) and Helen Varley Jamieson (a cyberformer artist and activist).
