Description

Contemporary Pakistan: the movement of peoples and ideas and prospects for the future

I was invited to present on contemporary Pakistan by the Scottish government. In this talk, I discussed the current political and economic situation in Pakistan in broad terms, including sectarian tensions, before focusing on Scottish-South Asian economic and HE collaboration opportunities, and my current research on the history of South Asian overseas migration, with its obvious relevance to key contemporary policy debates on Human Trafficking and Multiculturalism.
