This was a four day gallery exhibition on the theme of ‘Coolitude’ designed by Danny Flynn at G511ery, in Tottenham, North London. The opening included a poetry recital by the ‘voice of Coolitude’ Khal Torabully. The exhibition featured evocative re-renderings of nineteenth century migrant portraits taken by colonial officials. The purpose was to promote in the public mind a more positive view of Indian overseas labour migration, than has hitherto been the case.
