Reflecting on how a particular work of art produced in rural Brazil migrated to three different biennial contexts in the late 1980s, this lecture explored the possibilities for thinking about art’s “ecological exposability”. How might the curation of an artistic project into an exhibition situation act to amplify, or quell, these possibilities?
