The conference "Current Issues in Freight Forwarding: Law and Logistics" was held on 3rd and 4th of September 2015 by Edinburgh Law School and the Edinburgh Centre for Commercial Law. It was a 2 day interdisciplinary conference drawing together academics, practitioners and stakeholders in transport law and logistics. Following the keynote address by Professor Emeritus Jan Ramberg, Sweden, on whether the law of transport and freight forwarding is lagging behind in the modern development of commercial law, participants from logistics and law, academia and practice alike, presented and discussed current issues in freight forwarding including approaches in different jurisdictions. Speakers included practitioners, academics, and stakeholders from England and Scotland as well as from Austria, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, United Arab Emirates and USA.
