Description
"Hauntology", which derives from the work of Derrida, pursues the concept of "ghosts" of various sorts, including ghosts which inhabit languages and our ways of imagining them. Deumert (2022) pursues it particularly in the context of postcoloniality and translanguaging, as, in a somewhat different way, does Joseph (2017). In this dialogue Deumert and Joseph consider the application of hauntology to Global Southern studies, whilst also exploring newer concepts which broaden the scope of hauntology, and prodding the notion of the Global South.
