Olga Taxidou, Professor of Drama, and Douglas Cairns, Professor of Classics at the University of Edinburgh discuss the significance of Antigone in the context of its own time, and the special attraction of the play and the character for audiences, performers, philosophers and theorists from antiquity to modernity. Chaired by Professor Dorothy Miell, Vice Principal and Head of the College of Humanities and Social Science.
