Description

Edinburgh Neuroscience College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. “Sense and Nonsense” How we experience the world

• The aim was to explain the senses and how we experience the world around us. • Lots of “hands on” demonstrations, model brains (must be quicker at putting them back together again before the next child takes it apart), Braille activity, touch illusions, and a “live” synesthesia experiment. Demonstrators encouraged people to try out the experiments. While they were doing this we were explaining (with the help of posters and models) how the brain “sorts” information.
