Public lecture at the Science Festival:Virtual study of the Rhind Mummy

Behind the scenes with Fascinating Mummies: The public had the chance to explore the stories and secrets uncovered by the NMS team and as they prepared the Egyptian collections for the Fascinating Mummies exhibition. A thrilling insight to the science behind the scenes at our museum.Dr E. Kranioti gave a lecture on the work she did on the 3D reconstruction of the Rhind Mummy using CT scan data. The public had the opportunity to participate on workshop on the value of human skeletal for the reconstruction of the biological profile of the individual which was offered by Dr Kranioti and several PG students of Forensic Anthropology (SHCA).
