Description

The seminar examined how constitutional change might affect the citizenship rights and status of those living within and outside independent Scotland, including the relationship of residence to nationality, questions of dual nationality, and freedom of movement within the British Isles and the wider European Union. It also considered the relationship between citizenship and cultural identity in a new Scotland. Part of the 'Enlightening the Constitutional Debate' series hosted by the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the British Academy.
