Description
This 1-day workshop invited SGSSS PhD studentship holders to explore hands-on creative and artistic approaches that can be used to research, analyse, engage, communicate and make sense of interdisciplinary PhD projects. The day was jointly led by two social scientists who draw on creative methods in their academic work: Dr Lisa Bradley, Senior Lecturer in Creative and Interdisciplinary Studies in Education at the University of Glasgow, and Dr Jimmy Turner from the Binks Hub, University of Edinburgh. Participants were led through the process of making zines to conduct research, communicate research ideas, analyse research materials and curate artistic outputs. This was framed in the context of fostering and supporting interdisciplinary and post-disciplinary thinking.Period | 5 Dec 2024 |
