Edinburgh Gadda Prize 2013: Submissions, selections and public engagement events prior to Montecassino 4-6 May 2013

Second edition of Gadda Giovani, junior Italian category of the Edinburgh Gadda Prize. 400 Italian schools took part with text and other media submissions. Promotion and public awareness events took place in the months prior to Montecassino 2013 in Cagliari, Cassino, Milan and Udine. 16 finalists were selected from a 161 semifinalists. The Montecassino programme included international conference, public workshops, an exhibition of the submissions, a recital by Nicola Benedetti, readings by Fabrizio Gifuni, and the award ceremony. The exhibition was then transferred to Venice to become part of the Richard Demarco Foundation Exhibition at the Venice Fringe Biennale 28 May to 31 August 2013). Video recording: available
