Description
Talk at Auckland University of Technology National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences.
Discussed my PhD research looking at non-random geographical variation of dementia in Scotland amongst the Scottish Mental Survey 1947 cohort. Described this unique cohort and the ability to follow them up through de-identified data linkage.
Additionally, the talk discussed the background to the NHS targets and governmental policy that is improving the national focus on dementia in Scotland and secondly discussed the results from previous work undertaken showing an increased risk of dementia in the north of some countries and how my PhD plans to expand on this knowledge.
