Description

I talked about problems facing honey bees, bumble bees and solitary bees. I suggested what can be done about the problems (eg planting flowers and trees) and research ongoing at the Roslin Institute. I demonstrated beekeeping throughout the year using a virtual hive and talked about development of beehives from skeps to moveable frame hives. I spoke to a class of 40 children aged 9-10 from Balgreen Primary School, Edinburgh.
