  • Mairead Bermingham (Organiser)

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesPublic Engagement – Public lecture/debate/seminar

Description

Final year undergraduate, MSc and PhD students from physics, computer science, informatics, mathematics, statistics, chemistry, engineering and technology were invited to dip into the world of biomedical research.

We wanted to bridge disciplines through biology by bringing together cross-disciplinary (XD) teams of students to address some of our health research challenges – problems that we think they can help us address.

This XD Challenge will facilitate cross-disciplinary (XD) team work and provide an opportunity to learn something new.

I developed the challenge:
'Safe algorithms for the automation, analysis and sharing of identifiable images of facial morphology and expression.'
