Ideas surrounding beauty, style and identity were as prevalent in the Tudor and Stuart Courts as in today's society. Mal Burkinshaw, Programme Director of Fashion at Edinburgh College of Art, and Jill Burke, Senior Lecturer in History of Art, University of Edinburgh consider themes surrounding beauty and body image in both the 1500's and on the modern catwalk.
