Description
The Institute of Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS) is the largest international body of academics and practitioners in my field of ORMS. The Computing Society is one of its technical societies whose scope is at the interface of OR and Computer Science, for e.g., algorithm analysis and software for mathematical modelling, optimization, simulation, and more recently, areas such as quantum computing, machine learning, artificial intelligence. I was elected as the Vice-Chair of this society for 2020-21 and as the Chair for 2022-23.My role is conference organization for the society, appointing prize and award committees each year, general promotional and outreach activities, conducting business meetings, and arranging new events and competitions for members of the society.
