International Colloquium on Working Equids

Description

The International Colloquium for Working Equids is a quadrennial event for all professionals within the working equid sector. It has changed since its inception in 1991, from a purely veterinary conference to an interdisciplinary event that encompasses both medical and social sciences and spans animal welfare and development sectors. The aim of the Seventh International Colloquium, held at Royal Holloway in July and organised by World Horse Welfare (WHW), was to identify how these fields can be integrated and to address some of the obstacles that stand in the way. Delegates from 28 countries spent 3 days in workshops, plenary sessions and on a field day, discussing and consolidating their knowledge and experience.
