As everyday objects increasingly have the capacity for unimaginable computing possibilities, designers need to develop specific expertise to design the behaviour of future systems. Historically we have designed artefacts and the interaction around those artefacts. Can we now develop teams of trans-disciplinary designers/engineers/scientists to ensure we are 'Served, Cared for, Controlled and Saved' in an appropriate and stimulating way?
