This weekend, our campus community is marking International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day in a special way. Staff and students are placing solar lanterns of remembrance on trees around campus in memory of lives lost to suicide. For anyone who has been unable to collect a lantern in person, colleagues are arranging for a lantern to be displayed on their behalf. This day provides a way for survivors of suicide loss to come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experience.
The University’s Chaplain hosted an online memorial service ahead of Survivors of Suicide Loss Day.
