Invited talk given at an EU international workshop on Big Data, Electronic Health Records and Health Governance. This took place as part of a session focused on Data Integration and Interoperability. In her presentation, Dr Pagliari drew attention to the role of non-technical factors in digitally integrated healthcare, analysing social and ethical dimensions of interoperability and why taking these into account is important.
