Description

Investigating understandings of the mind, self, and world for the creative development of our technologies, cultures, and societies.

I am organising this symposium with Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE).  The symposium will consider fission-fusion perspectives on complex issues, which will lead to a peer-reviewed report to be published jointly by JSPS and RSE. The report focuses on gathering responses from across influential Japanese and Scottish thinkers on four provocations which focus on current crises and of modes of motivating more holistic modes of relating to each other and the world around us. The symposium has been funded by JSPS and RSE.
