Description
I delivered a keynote presentation in Yogyakarta to an audience of 300 GP educators and academics. The focus was on sharing expertise in GP training, emphasising the importance of exceptional consultations in primary care. Key topics included the development of doctor-patient relationships, holistic approaches to treatment, and the integration of research in clinical education settings. Significantly, we are assisting Indonesia in establishing a family doctor training scheme to educate 10,000 new GPs over the next seven years. This initiative aligns with WHO's aims to expand the reach of primary care and supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3. Following the presentation, a Q&A session facilitated an engaging exchange of ideas, allowing us to discuss the challenges and opportunities in advancing GP education.Period | 19 Mar 2024 |
