This event is one in a series of public discussion forums which 'seeks to put the institutional language of contemporary art under thoughtful analysis'. Also speaking at the event on realism is Antigoni Memou (UEL); the event is chaired by Kirsten Lloyd (University of Edinburgh). My own short presentation will focus specifically on realism as it relates to the moving image - in particular, work by artists using film and video.
