Description
Summer School of Advanced Studies: Images, Objects and a Sacred Site: Assisi in a Transcultural PerspectiveScientific Guest: The invitation was prompted by my reputation for teaching a Fourth-year course on Mendicant art and architecture (Poverty and Patronage), incorporating the novelties of my research on the subject. The course was for 16 international graduate (Master and doctoral) students by selection. My role comprised introducing major key art-historical issues related with the monuments and artworks visited; prompting students engagement with these queries and the artworks themselves, thus opening up new possible paths of research; exchanging my research ideas and critical comments on most recent publications with the Director of the KHI so as to offer the students a model of debate of high academic standard; providing feedback on students’ presentations as well as scientific advise, including long-term advice on their current research and career. Intensive course: my role included two full teaching days
