LIGHTASTIC Costume Parade

The charity Scottish Love in Action (SLA) held three firework events to raise funds, inviting ECA Performance Costume students to perform in specially designed costumes celebrating Diwali. The charity supplied Indian textiles which the students used in their designs. The costumes were threaded with lighting effects to underline the connection with Diwali, the festival of light. Students performed to an audience of 7,500 over the three events. I supervised the costume making and the practical exploration of the design process.
