The Edinburgh Environmental Humanities Network (EEHN) and Sustainability in Education Research Group (SIERG) at the University of Edinburgh invite you to an evening with the internationally sought-after speaker, poet, writer, and teacher, Drew Dellinger, who has inspired minds and hearts around the world, for his poetry and public speaking on justice, ecology, cosmology, and compassion.Drew Dellinger's work addresses the confluence and intersections of ecology and social justice, art and activism, poetry and politics, science and spirituality, creativity and the climate crisis. His perspective draw on his decades of experience in social and ecological movements, and close collaborations with many of the leading eco-philosophers and justice advocates of our time.
Through the lens of interconnectedness, Dellinger will weave together insights from civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., eco-visionary Joanna Macy, and others — emphasising the need for global movements that connect ecology, justice, democracy, and cosmology / worldview.

The event will be hosted in person on Wednesday 3rd June 2024 at the Moray House School of Education. The evening will start at 17h00 and be co-facilitated by Dr Glen Cousquer, Lecturer in One Health and Conservation Medicine and Dr Ramsey Affifi, Lecturer in Philosophical and Ecological Education.
