Description
This Edinburgh Conference was hosted by Edinburgh Law School, the Edinburgh Centre for Commercial Law and the Edinburgh Centre for Professional Legal Studies and supported by Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Scottish Branch and the Scottish Arbitration Centre.
The event focused on critical issues surrounding multi-tier clauses and the methods referred therein. In particular, topics such as tactics in a multi-tier setting and enforcement of multi-tier clauses were covered and dispute resolution methods such as dispute boards and mediation were examined. The morning consisted of presentations on the topic followed in the afternoon by practical interactive workshops on drafting multi-tier clauses, on dispute boards, and mediation, where participants could engage deeper with the subject matter and discuss pertinent issues with experts in the field.
The conference day was concluded with a closing speech by The Rt. Hon. Lord Hope of Craighead and dinner in St Leonards Hall.
