Description
Scotland shares a long and intertwined history with the countries of 'The North'. For many Scots, however, the details of our Nordic neighbours remain vague and obscure. Would you know if Finnish was a Scandinavian language? If there was a meaningful difference between the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers? Or if we should give preference to 'hygge' or 'lagom' over 'jantelagen'? The answers to all of these questions and more will be provided in this evening's talk by Dr Alan Macniven.
