This was the first part of a two-part workshop series entitled “Social and Epistemic Network Analysis: Combining Qualitative Content Analysis with Quantitative Network Analysis” sponsored by the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (SGSSS). The all-day workshop was led by Philip Leifeld of the University of Glasgow and featured a lecture and lesson on the application of discourse network analysis in R. Seventeen graduate students enrolled in social science programs from universities across Scotland, including the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow, Heriot-Watt University, Scotland’s Rural University College and Dundee University were in attendance.
