Workshop organised by the Centre for Maritime Law at the University of Singapore.
This one day workshop placed the shipping and freight forwarding contracts in their commercial context and explained the resulting legal
requirements for the execution of the shipping and insurance arrangements. It highlighted the importance but also the limitations of freight
forwarders terms and conditions in the light of mandatory transport conventions and national law rules. Participants worked thorough sample
case studies to deepen understanding of relevant issues.
