Description

As Project Lead for the University's Doctoral Landscape Award (for 15 fully-funded PhD studentships), I consulted with PGR Directors, Deans and Managers at the University of Edinburgh and with SGSAH, developed proposals for the delivery of the awards via a new internal competition, and completed the AHRC's assurance process successfully (December 2024). The awards are valued at an estimated £1.6m, based on the 2025-6 UKRI tuition fee and minimum stipend.

From autumn 2024 onwards, I liaised with other Doctoral Landscape Award holders and SGSAH to develop plans for the delivery of training via the Scottish DLA Hub, and we co-wrote a bid to the AHRC for SGSAH to constitute itself as this Hub (bid value: £1,070,400).

I led the development of the University's internal competition for the inaugural competition in 2025-26, overseeing the development of the University's application materials and guidance, liaising with SGSAH, and holding training sessions for applicants and reviewers.
