Description

The first annual public lecture-recital focusing on the traditional arts in relation to societal concerns. Rebellious Truth 2021: Karine Polwart addressed our relation to the natural world and the ecological damage we are experiencing (and causing) in Scotland. The lecture-recital featured Scots songs and composed songs from that idiom.

New work 'A Dance to the Order of Time' was presented by composer and School of Scottish Studies Archives Artist in Residence Mike Vass, with Mairearad Green.
