Description
The RSE Young Academy of Scotland and the University of Edinburgh are organising a 1-day event for campaigners, activists, politicians, writers and academics to discuss the norms of public debate with the aim of creating a draft Charter for Responsible Public Debate. The event was hosted by Matthew Chrisman, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh, whose work on political philosophy of language and social epistemology informs the structure and aims of the project.Period | 13 May 2019 |
