Teaching Mobility Programme, Erasmus.

Teaching Exchange. I taught 8 classes (16 hours) at La Sapienza, at both UG and PG level. In exchange, I hosted a colleague from La Sapienza, who teaches to my students (both UGs and PGs) in Edinburgh. My teaching in Rome revolves around the physical and conceptual transmission of the ancient heritage of Rome in medieval and early Renaissance times, using monuments as the starting point of discussion; my colleague addresses the same issues with the Edinburgh students, but using texts as the basis for discussion. We also introduce the students to the Linking Evidence project, which bridges the gap between philology, art history and digital technology in the study of the medieval City. The TME contributes to the internationalization of our teaching environment, whilst offering the students different methodological perspectives and introducing them to an interdisciplinary approach.
