Description

Responsible for initiating contact with key players within Scottish Industry in order to facillitate meaningful collaborative industrial projects between academia and industry. The Hancock / Scottish Academy of Fashion Project was initiated and set up (exclusive to ECA) by RG and undertaken by students of the fashion programme. This project led to selected student work being produced by the prestigious Hancock Factory and the launch of an exclusive collection designed by an ECA Graduate. The collection has been promoted in Tokyo Japan.

Hancock launches it’s first Autumn/Winter 2012 collection of outerwear and luggage for Ladies and Gentlemen. The debut ladies collection has been designed in collaboration with the Edinburgh College of Art and Mr Colin Oliphant; whilst the gents collection has been designed by bespoke tailor Mr Timothy Everest. Each season will see the introduction of guest designers and friends of Hancock to create iconic articles. The silhouette features clean, minimal lines with luxury detailing in cashmere and silk. Colours and materials range from muted greys through to classic navy in Super 120s wool flannels bonded to printed interiors.
