Description

Week of Black Conscience in honour to the historical fight for freedom of black slaves in Brazil, symbolized by the figure of Zumbi dos Palmares. Events such as lectures; debates (mainly about politics); workshops of dance, music, and literature; a community lunch and samba concerts. November of 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 at the Foundation School of Sociology and Politics in São Paulo, Brazil. 500 pounds raised. Attendees: 500 people.
